What does it mean when my puppy, Wonton, has a more active social calendar than mine? Hope to see a lot of other downtown dogs and their owners tonight.

Man, it's hot out. To help cool you down, please enjoy these pictures from this past winter in Pershing Square. Remember when the air was crisp and cold, even when the sun shone brightly? Look, the ice rink is all set up.



The snowmen guard the fountain.



And the chicken is ice-skating.



Even chickens need love, and this one found it during the "couples-only skate".



The chicken isn't very good at this. She went down, and stayed down.



Her partner helped her up, but only so he could check out the chicken's butt.



The chicken got fed-up, and went back to the coop.

As blogdowntown mentioned previously, Pershing Square is hosting the second annual "Meet Your Neighbors" event this Sunday, June 3rd, from noon to 4pm. Here's the flyer. Jim and I went last year. It was wicked hot and we stayed for about a minute. The only one there was Russell Brown, and he was manning a booth. Maybe this year will be better and hopefully the APT will be operational again (haven't checked lately).
