dance lessons

I'm starting to get a little anxious about our wedding. It's less than three weeks away and we still have a pile of things we need to take care of. My big concern right now is - our first dance. We have the song picked out, but Jim can't dance and refuses to take lessons. So I bought him a book (that's how he swears he learns best, by reading, absorbing, processing and then doing) on ballroom dancing. We've only had one "rehearsal", but we videotaped it so that we could watch and critique ourselves, and hopefully we'll be ready for the big dance on the big day. Here's the video, it takes a while for it to load, but please let us know what you think.

I took cotillion in Junior High, but Pen and I didn't take any dance lessons... we ended up just doing the Jr. High level slow dance thing... Her father daughter dance was much more impressive!

You two are adorable! I assume pink (from your wig) is one of your wedding colors?

shannon, we might just take you up on that offer of dance lessons.

nanette - no, the motif for the wedding is 1930's shanghai. so think art deco, black and white, but with accents of red and gold. i just liked the pink wig.

it get's better the more you watch it. also, if you hit the "click here" button the wigs change. i like it when celia has the 'fro and jim has the pink wig.

just let me know and we'll see what we can work out schedule-wise.

Excellent. Mazel Tov. Many happy returns of the day. Outside of cotillion, of course, I am a firm believer that there is no need to dance "correctly". As Ezra the Lesser once said: "Dancing is merely physical laughter." Laugh and the world laughs with you. Dance and the world does as well. Have a blast!

For some reason, I can't load the video. But that's just as well, I'll see you both live-and-in-the-flesh very soon. Happiest of new year's to the soon-to-be newlyweds!

Famima!
