my name is

Does a move necessitate a name change? Surprisingly, only two or three people have asked if I'm changing the name of the blog since I will no longer be at 5th and Spring. Any suggestions? Or should I just leave it?

If you ask me, the social hub of the downtowners seems to be 4th and Main, though 5th and Spring can be considered "central" to the OBD, between Main and Pershing Square, City Hall and then of course, Angeliques... I say leave it. You're still there and it's a historic call by now!

well you could name it parking lot and alley, or between 5th and 6th on los angeles, but neither of those have as good a ring as what you suggested on Sunday, 5th and spring adjacent

I say keep the name. The not-for-profit I started in 1992 we called School Street Movement because our first address was literally on School Street, but the spirit was in the name; and besides, it takes a while to build "brand," so why blow that equity just because you moved?

P.S. I miss Laura too. I can't believe it's been a year. Love to all.

leave it. we're no longer on franklin avenue but decided it was better to leave it than change the name.
